I will say I was sick and that is why no posts this week…
During my big activity on Monday I was having a huge amount of sinus drainage? I didn’t give it a lot of thought but looking back I figure it was a warning sign of things to come… I felt ok when I headed to bed on MOnday night but the drainage was so bad I couldn’t sleep… so I just drifted in and out… A lot of that due to the fact that I was coughing a lot… Well, Tuesday morning came and I was wasted, felt horrible, and totally congested… Now that it is mostly over, I wish I had gotten on the Mucinex early as well as bumped up the Vitamin C’s… but just didn’t project it being that bad… so Tuesday I fell asleep in the chair just after breakfast… then after lunch and I got home to read the mail…poof out again… but still so tired I felt horrible. I went to bed very early Tuesday night but with some precautions, although I did cough a lot it wasn’t like before… Wednesday was not much better just dragging around getting a few small chores done… Thursday I felt a little better, got most of the stuff ready for the “trip” and figured I might just be able to make “the trip”… I am not sure what my “sick’ was … could have been an outbreak of allergy attach since the tree pollen was real high, or could have been a cold that didn’t last long or maybe a really short spot of flu? in any case it was pretty short?
Friday morning the alarm went off and I thought it was about 5 hours too early… but got up and got things packed, and we were off at a reasonable hour for the long drive… As normal we stopped in Perry for breakfast… On this long tirp we tend to stop at McD’s for biscuits and the big drinks (I get unsweet tea so it will last me till??? – potty break)… We rolled into Salina about 10:30AM and got filled up at Sams club… they generally have the cheapest gas and are just a little off the I-135 before we get to I-70.
passed a full set of three of these and each one had a full set of “escort” cars with lights…
From there it was west on 70… and got to Hayes for lunch… Tried a different spot today for lunch… Taco Grande… we have stopped at Qdoba, Arby’s and various other places but today we went on down and tried this little spot… They served a pretty good Taco Burger and it was on sale today so I came out ok on that one as well…
Our route runs on west and in Colby I figured I better get gas before Colorado as the normal is that Colorado is about 20 to 30 cents higher… checked our GasBuddy app and found that the Dillions had gas for $2.02? everyone else was $2.25… humm so ran down to Dillions and put in my King Sooper code and got another 2 cent discount… Came out ok on that…
We got into Colorado Springs at about 4:30pm (Mtn = 5:30 Central). Got things unloaded and I was wore out… had aches and pains in abundance all over…
He does smile a lot but right here he was just focused on the camera light.
Grandma had a little Grandson time…

I said hi, sat down for a bit then figured I better get my shower in and hopefully feel a bit better… so ended the trip out… and we ordered pizza for dinner and I had a drink or two and then hustled off to bed…
Today I felt some better, but didn’t get around too much… as normal got up and went out and got breakfast as I don’t cook out here not knowing what is hear to fix… The day was pretty much a set with Grandson and make sure he was ok, which , he is really pretty good… lets you know when he needs something but normally is pretty quiet, He does entertain himself a lot..

Now that is extravagant or silly or both?
Spent some time listening to the cowboys BB game (on Tune-in) and boy were they stinking it up… after 3 big games what gives with such poor playing? They gained so much in the three wins and it appears they gave about half that away with this loss..
Such is life I guess…
