It is obvious that they are worth more than you can measure… Just go back and look at old photos and remember all those things , times, loves, places that you have enjoyed…
I have spent countless hours working on my collection of pictures…Trying my best to get them scanned, saved, cataloged and dated… It is suprising that you tend to remember pieces of things gone by but getting actual dates along with those is hard. For the most part I can come up with a year or some linkage to another fact that places a general date on things… so I am cataloging all my picture scans into years and some by months or events during those years…
Another link to all that is, “what did I spend to save all these memories”… I pull out old picture packages and see that it was $5,$10 or $15 dollars to have them developed and printed… and I figure I had to have spent a few dollars on the film in the first place..add in the camera and attachments and other things and then counting the number of film packets I have gone through already… I spent a small fortune in saving these memories… I think in total I may have scanned over 7000 pictures… some I did by the page in an album cause I was getting tired… ha!… but I think that I have all of them save until I find more hidden in a box..
To that end I have sent some pictures to old friend on facebook… if I missed you sorry… a lot of my old stuff got blow away in the tornado of 1970… and mom did save some things but a lot was just gone… but for old times and for those that may not have gotten a copy… here is a few oldies…
I think we were the last big trip for seniors… we worked pretty hard during the year to make the money to pay for it… wasn’t any money left after we got done… not everyone made the trip…
