Not the ones in my head, they are still there and rattle once in awhile. We need a new big , single rock to cover our counters and island… I am not good at picking this out so I tried real hard to leave it up to Sherrie for her decision… we didn’t get around too early but early enough… had a few minor things to take car of here before heading to OKC to the Granite warehouses… had two that the Granite Guy (the one we will use) gets his rocks from so we went to see what they had in the racks… now we are talking slabs that are over 1 inch thick and polished up real nice… We hit the first one at 11am… it was a big warehouse and we walked up and down the rows till I was lost… they all kind of blended together to me… colored rock you know… but found a few that were ok, as per the “picker”…
This s the ones we picked out… similar to what we already have (tiled granite in 1 ft. sq., not solid) so not a big change, although it is more white, has much deeper crystal sections that make it look deep…
At a different warehouse we spotted some that were … for lack of better terms…. BUTT ugly… or totally out there… the picture doesn’t show just how GREEN this one was… like getting sick before you set down to eat…
Afraid the plates would be moving off the counter with this one?
Now this was one pretty piece but not for a kitchen… it was way more blue that it looks here and not granite anyway… but interesting…
These are about the same… just a little to ???? vivid for our taste?
really interesting but not for a kitchen counter in our house… After we made a few more stops, (for computer parts) and picked up some “yellow” yarn for something she is making we went back and put a hold on our pick at the first warehouse… and on the way there… I got off on the wrong street turn… ended up in Crown Heights… interesting area, some decent old houses and a very interesting central area… especially with this…
Anyone looking for a date with Iris… ?
Now this guy must have missed out on the date notice… figure he was waiting on h is wife and it was just a really nice time to ….. take a nap… actually caught this on one of our other stops… but he was really out…
Also found that my SIL (Son in law) has another business out there… or maybe he should consider this… it is a business that seems to do well in good or bad economy… drink cause your happy or drink cause your sad… all the same, just different taste in stock… I thought that would be a good business back 30 years ago and should of done it but wasn’t as good at just working for my self… We got home about 5:30… checked out doors for our remodel… filled the car with gas… of all things gas is cheaper here than it was in most placed in OKC? that just never happens but did today… then picked up some FireHouse Subs… since we had not eaten since breakfast… got home and did very little after that… I did get my computer parts put in the computers… fired up and working… checked a few things out, made a few radio contacts while doing most of that and ended the day… although just after the subs were gobbled down I did capture another great sunset…
So ends another day as we wait on the GS#1 and 2 to arrive from Dallas…
