Yucky start–better end

The day started out pretty YUKY.  We had a problem with the toilet not holding water.  In an RV that it a problem as it does let the gas (smell) back up as well as all the water out when you need it.  I made a trip to town for parts if necessary and some other things along the way.  Unfortunately I did not find the proper seals for it so was just hoping that a good cleaning would fix it.  When I got back I dug around and found the cleaning kit that came with it but the cleaning solution was all dried out so I just used what I could and dug around in the inside of the toilet bowl… YUKY… I did get it rubbed, cleaned and hopefully will last awhile?  I will order a replacement seal and have it ready for the next time I have to “DIG IN”…

First off I have a sunset or rather sun on thunder cloud that I got last night.

Amazing with the sun setting to the west and it lighting up the big thunder head just on top of Pikes Peak (barely visible center bottom of the pic – no not the truly visible but above and behind that).

Today on our way out of town early – saw this bush, actually 3 of them… think they may be “smoke bush”  not sure

Later on my trip to get parts I took the long way around and spotted this “train yard”…

I would guess these are old excess units and there may be more somewhere else?

These were actually afternoon thunder heads building over Pikes peak yesterday.

This evening on our way back in town for the Tuesday night free music in the park this guy passed me.  I had to double take the top of that car.  I had 4 eyebolts on each corner of the roof?  I guess they lift it up so they can get under it?   After some consideration I figure maybe he uses them to strap things on top?

Tonight’s group was Deja Bluz.  Old style rock blues… they were pretty good

The large guy on the right was very versatile.  He played the Sax, flute and clarinet during the show.    We couldn’t hang for the whole thing as it was threatening rain, had rained earlier and the big trees were dripping in the wind.  So that made it a bit chillier than we were ready for.  We did make it to the intermission before we headed out to grab a late dinner (you know… we made it just in time for a green chili burger (they close that place at 8pm).  ha!

On the way home I spotted a double rainbow (rather just the far ends).

I find it really hard to capture rainbows and such but anyway… look over there the pot of gold must be on that far hill!  or maybe to the right ?  I sure could use a pot of gold now.
