Tomorrow will put me at the Half-way point (by time measure) of this work rotation. Some times that is good as it really is half way but some times it is bad because I have spent half my time getting less than half of the work I need to do done. Right now I am not sure, but I am not on the schedule I had put on myself when I got here and looked over the things I had to get done… on the other hand I may have over estimated some projects and under estimated others? No matter, I think I will get it all done. I usually do but sometimes some things just have to slide.
Being half way is a great thing, unless your on a plane flight home… half way there is no-where. I think this could be called nowhere except for the fact that it is sometimes worse than nowhere. Here we know where we are and we know it takes a long time to get to somewhere – somewhere that we can live a more normal existence.
Half-way through a test is nowhere because, even if you have done correct for that entire half – you still fail.
Half-way through a movie is ok, cause now days you just just pause the DVR and come back later and finish.
Today was another “half-way” thing. I have two big out days where the students have to do certain things we have planned and they usually take all day and are draining for me. I accomplished the first one and have one more on my last day here. This one went pretty good, but there is no telling how the next will conclude. I will also have to have several things done well before that day, because nothing will happen during that day other than the student activity, and my final packing to get out.
So, half-way depends on the start and end and what you intend to get out of it – some half-ways are ok, some are “no-where”. Tomorrow will be a good half-way because I won’t have to do the past two weeks over.
