On a drive yesterday it occurred to me. I work in a “Field of Dreams”. The statement in that story was “if you build it – they will come”… yea same thing here.
Anywhere they build a road here – the “dumpers” will come. Too hard to dig a pit and bury the garbage. Although, there are several pits in the same area, it would involve some form or work or logical thinking to actually get it into one spot and maybe cover it up. It is just too easy to find a road, pull off, and dump it. Many of the “little more remote” roads are so lined you dont have to worry about getting to far off the road they have “retaining” garbage lines.
In the mind of some, it is “just another developing country trying to catch up”…
