I for one will most likely be watching for the “re-entry” of this huge piece of junk. Mostly because it will be a pretty good fireball coming down. I will however be worried about all the piece that come hurtling off. The odds of people getting hit are 1 in 3200. HELL!, that is better than any lottery ticket we can get. The problem with that is – you may not survive a hit…..
My next question is how much more of that JUNK is getting ready to come down? We have sent a lot of stuff up and to my memory (it is pretty bad these days) we have not done any real “trash” collection. I think they did bring one piece back but one piece out of the thousands that are up there???? The odds are not good against not getting hit when you really start looking at it. Maybe NASA should start a collection operation. Wonder what the salvage value is for some of that JUNK? – WD0AJG
