What the HELL does a flashing RED light signal!!!!

I think most people have “conveniently” forgotten what that means… I have witnessed several instances locally that the lights end up “RED BLINKING” and most drivers just do not pay attention or do not care?  They may tap their brakes but keep moving is the rule of the day.

Here is what I found on a search – even though I knew it, someone else saying it means I was not wrong…

From Wikipedia

Alternating alternates (flashing lights)

In the United States, the color alone indicates traffic flow. Flashing red is the equivalent of a stop sign. Flashing amber indicates that the opposing traffic may enter the intersection at any time and drivers should exercise caution.

What does A traffic light with a flashing red signal means?

Answer:

When you see flashing red lights at a 4-way Stop Light instead of normal traffic signals you should approach the intersection as if it was a 4-way Stop Sign, alternating N/S and E/W lanes proceeding through the intersection, one car at a time.

Typically this type of situation happens when the traffic signal system is malfunctioning.

In the following video – all these fools are violators and they put it on YouTube!… In this case the Red takes precedence and you stop and proceed with caution when you can!… duh!  That said, I have been known to “ease” through a light like this…  Guess I am just as ignorant as the rest.. no excuses right?

In all of this I found one I really good video that I like and it should be used more often in a lot more places:

You judge…

A lot of drivers and pedestrians deserve this!
