OK, I am at work again but we are checking out some of the local high spots.
We flew into Pittsburg but today we had to move down toward Weston, WV. Even though we are working, we do have to eat. To that end we took off for lunch and went to this little hole in the wall place…
The food was ok, not spectacular but the price was right… outside this place is a Historic sign… I guess I didn’t know I was that close to Old Andy’s home grounds???
After lunch we made a run up the street to check this place out…
Supposedly this is one of the highest “paranormal” locations in the Allegheny area or maybe in the middle of the US? They do advertise they have ghosts and do ghost tours at special times… luckily we were in during the middle of the day while all the ghost were asleep… This place had been open since before the civil war and it is huge… maybe one of the biggest lunatic asylums I have ever seen…
And this only shows the front building… there are several more behind this…
I didn’t ask but for sure think that this or one like it has been in the movies?
They say some of the old inmates still come to set out here??? and the place was closed 20 years ago.
We were told not to worry, they still have the bars on the windows?
Yes there are real people and most of them worked here way back…? hum, they said it was closed down 20 years ago?

All this during a 1.5 hour lunch break… we took the 45 minute tour of the first floor only… I was told that the complete tour that covers the upper floors where they have a huge open hall, the morgue, electro shock wing, and other interesting stuff is way better and things just happen more on the upper floors as there was where the more “lunatic” sections were as well as the more experimental treatments for mental problems…? oh well, maybe some day.
