It was a duty trip of respect today but still it occurred to me as we were heading out that it has been a long time since we (Wife and I) have just gone out on a road trip. We used to do that some during the spring and fall. On a Saturday or Sunday we would just load up and head off… go see what has changed or maybe stretch out to someplace we had not been. You can live in an area a long time and still never see it all. Beyond that what you do see can sometimes change and you will miss it… so today it was a back road trip out to Thomas. I saw a lot of things and I was not driving this time so I got a few pictures but not many good ones… Here are a few that struck me as we travelled..
Look close and see the local Police Dept.…
Watonga? City Hall or old School? I don’t know?
Great road for a skate board or ?
The old homestead of many years ago?
Tribute in Downtown Kingfisher…
Headed east on highway 33… Don’t see may of these – Triple underpass for the trains..
Old and gone in Guthrie.
I got a picture of the New Lucille’s but it was into the sun and was bad..
We stopped to have BarBQue at the Smokey Pokey… was ok… I have other favorites higher on my list…
Other than the wind, it was a pretty nice day to be out…
