Seems I have to be here every few months and I am not sure what I ever really accomplish but it is work. Had an uneventful trip down this morning. I also had a interview at the airport for one of those “Frequent Traveler” quick pass items… Should have done that years ago when they first came out but kind of ignored it until recently when I realized I could of cut about 30 top 40 minutes off every trip though passport checks. Actually I had applied in March and when I came through the Pittsburg airport on the way home they set me to the “oh you don’t have to take your belt off, oh and you don’t have to pull the computer out, and oh you don’t even need to take your shoes off… and there was no one else in that line so I just laid the bags on the belt, walked through and done… I don’t think it works that way everywhere but if it can get through a few times with some of the hassle… It is worth it.
I finished that initial review and got my temporary upgraded to passed… they needed a picture of my face and finger prints… not like they don’t have those enough anyway… seems I remember I had to do my finger prints the old way back in 1971 when I applied for the government job I had, then I know I have had to give them several times since… once to get a TWIC card, which is also a transportation security card for offshore (never been offshore yet) and entry to secure places on the coast… never used that card either but I have one… but oh well…
Got the the hotel , checked in and made a few calls, and some discussion with some of the others… then it was out to dinner… stupid me… I didn’t have my camera so no “Carl” pictures… but we went to a place called “Blue Water Seafood”. Boy I messed up too… I got the fried Crawfish tails and Etouffee but should have had the Tina Special… my partner got it and it was maybe 2lbs of boiled shrimp, crawfish, and crab… along with the potatoes and corn… he said it was real good… mine was good but nothing like what is looked…
Like I said I should have gotten a picture… but I only got the one from out front… when I remember my phone…DUH!…
