Ok, today was our
40th… … but that picture was taken the day before our 29th… and we still look that young!
The second was Dec 2010… we don’t do pictures much… at least on the front of the camera..
We left Dallas early as the weather was to be bad in Oklahoma so we headed out about 9:30am or so… big surprise…
we got gas in Frisco for $3.36 a gallon… in Oklahoma is is about 50 cents higher per gallon… and it changes at the river? now how do they do that?
Anyway we were headed for home but figured a few short stops wouldn’t hurt as we didn’t see many clouds yet…
We took the hold highway down by Turner Falls… this was on top… you can see a long way up there..
Since neither of us had been there we visited Falls Creek… the Baptist retreat area… big area… strange that each church has it’s own building there so it is like a small city but no one was there, hardly… In reality the creak is not much but has little falls every so often…
Since we had done this much we determined to go by the Chickasaw cultural center…
One of the members doing things the old way… He did some good work and said he had been doing it for 40 years…
Happy to stop and explain the items.
Unusual items in the store?
When we got home we put all the cars in and took one to the covered garage at the university… but the storms seem to have all passed by us… luckily as there was a lot of really big hail and tornados in the mix… nasty stuff…
Once home I went out and checked the flowers and beds and found our Columbine had really flowered during my two week absence…
After this I was hungry as it had been a while since breakfast… and we didn’t stop anywhere for lunch so we headed off the the local Braums… and once there, ran into and old friend that now lives in St Louis, so we had to stop and talk for an hour of so… then went and got the car and came home…
