Took another little day trip… up to check the camping at the upper end of Kaw lake (don’t remember ever doing that) and then to go through Newkirk, Ark City Kansas and check out the First Council Casino… I had it in mind to see if it was something special as they are having some name artists there and night before last was BBKing… we didn’t go but probably should have… Anyway… the Casino is not anything spectacular… compared to the one on the south end of Oklahoma (Thackerville).. or even the one in Norman or elsewhere for that matter? It was busy and there are 3 right next to each other… ? not sure I understand all that but seems to be different tribes. Anyway on the back roads you can see some old and ? stuff…
Not sure which sign is really right but the one way off to the right was more appropriate for our trip… got to the corner and some guy pulled out in front and was following a very slow 4 wheeler… so 20 was a bit fast for the curve…
They were chasing them when we stopped to go in and damned if they weren’t still chasing when we came out – of the casino…
It is not a church… never was… wild guesses might get it but it now is part of Cowley college… yep, never heard of that one either…

By-golly the wind was blowing and this fellow was swinging in the wind… but not in the right directions? just swinging around…
If you note in the first paragraph… there was a 2 mile error in the Cherokee strip or the boundary of Kansas, but they are not admitting that..
