work, sites, perfect timing….

IT was another day of work and such… out early… to a location to see them work and we took notes… pictures and other stuff… we got there early, it was still cloudy and this is an indication of the Heat and humidity…

low clouds?  not it is vapor off the Nitrogen pumps floating across and through the trees…

on the way to one of the location we passed through a town and this man was making these interesting ? birds or insects from pineapple leaves… cutting and folding?

IMG_5594

I am not sure why but several places we saw kids with painted faces?

We were inspecting some equipment and then noticed we had some “hitch-hikers”…

I got a lot of pictures and more not too good of the road trip out, and back…  most are the same as shown before… another butcher shop, cars, and colorful houses…

once back we did a little work, a little down time (in the pool) and then off to eat… decided to try a different restaurant… decent steak… different side dishes… but pretty good…

On the way I got the usual flower pictures….

I have pictures but not worth showing in this post… we then went to the park and walked around… there is a very large very nice park just across from all the restaurants we go to (about 2 blocks from the hotel… and the people come out every day in mass to use the trails to exercise and walk and bring the kids… in the evening they have a lot of kid activities as well as the other things going on…

And more statues in and around the park…

Then we happened on the amphitheater on the corner… about 2 blocks form the hotel… and they were having a show at 8pm… I don’t read Spanish well but it was the 9th Festival National of Dance Folklore… I got some video of that as well as a few pictures… very colorful and a bit too loud… but we watch about 30 minutes of that…

The dancers…

Shortly after this point a very large bolt of lightening struck some distance to the east and we packed it in… 2 blocks to go… we walked a bit briskly and could hear the music continue… then we got to the hotel… inside and within 5 minutes it cut loose and we had a downpour… almost raining cats and dogs… and lightening for about 30 minutes… as I write it is still raining lightly…

That is PERFECT TIMING!

so we timed our exit perfect this time… although I would have liked to seen a lot more as it was pretty interesting… we may have to take in another show as it appears they will be on the whole week with different groups… I told the desk clerk about it  as I was having trouble with my room key and she said she was a dancer in it from the local university… which makes it just that more interesting… ? Nice friendly people, nice area… we even got some help in making a purchase from a bystander at the park (we wanted some kids things for the grandkids that we saw them using)… and he helped interpret and we didn’t know him at all… How nice was that?…

Tomorrow is a “down time” day and maybe a bit of shopping… but am sure we will work in late afternoon to get on the reports… always do…
