Wasn’t much to do today so after visiting with family and going over LLC stuff we took off for lunch and a walk… Lunch???? Back to “Big Burger World” but today we had the Chimichanga smothered with green chili… boy they were good… and back to the park to enjoy that meal… again… you would think we really like that park… and we do.
I know I am supposed to get pictures of this fantastic food but we forget when we see it to worry about pictures… ha!
After the lunch we walked the down town…
Visiting antique shops and artist shops… on both sides of the street..
You know your and antique when the toys you had as a kid are for sale in the antique shop…
not sure what she was so happy about?
And there was a matched set of this one?
The old buildings are interesting… and some refurbed and some not?
People don’t put big ad sings on the side of buildings much anymore… like yesterdays stuff but they do paint very interesting pictures? some really good artist get involved now..
During the walk came across this restored Bronco… shiny and ready to show…
I remember reading stories over the years of several people that have tried to renovate and redo this old hotel but it just never seems to work out… takes more money than most people h have and the businesses don’t last due to lack of draw?
As we moved on down the street it became obvious that the storms were brewing on the mountains again… this one was in the building stage…
In another block it was bigger yet… and tonight on the news… off to the left side of this big head… Flash Floods in Manitou Springs and cars washed down the river there… it started and just kept building and raining and coming down hard … does that sometimes in the mountains…
In one of the stores found a sign that I should have gotten…
I didn’t but it was something I thought about… for a second or two…
Later on we got the real artist shop with multiple artists works… lot of really nice stuff and this full size “Leaded Glass” door… I really like it and so looked…
Price……. $32,000 plus… can you believe that? it was some 3-D with multiple layers of glass in spots to give some a different sparkle and other stuff… but the price? WOW!…
After this we cruised for the rest of the day… made dinner with the family and enjoyed the evening discussions and prep for the big day tomorrow… a wedding…
So that was out day on Friday… tomorrow… the Wedding at 11 and who knows what for the afternoon…
