Being retired is really a lot of work. I have lost any excuse to not get some of those things done I had planned for so long but never got to. At present I am still working on the closet doors. Sanding, and trying to get the old finish off so I can put on a little darker stain to match the new ones I did last week and then put on a better finish. Problem so far is they won’t take the stain. I may have to get another set of new doors? To catch up a bit… we got Snow in Oklahoma… last time is snowed in April was about 1931 or 32… at least in our area… I guess it snowed last year in NE OK but not here… and snow in the panhandle is not rare even in May, but heck it is the panhandle (we lived out there for 12 years and saw plenty of snow, blizzards, heat and other things of the plains. It is a great place to be from and nice to only have to pass through…
I didn’t have the pictures out for the snow day till today so here are the pictures I got yesterday…
At Lowers getting some sanding foam pads… it started…
Forgot all about these. I took a back road home and caught two turkeys out in a field (maybe 30 yards off the road) … and I think it is spring season or real close to it?
The old farm house is gone and nothing but the chimney and front door pillars… Got a bit hot it appears..
Today after lunch I stopped at the local Walmart to pick up a veggie tray and spotted this “employee” truck… I had seen it before but never got a pictures… seems he is one up on the Duck Commander guys?
Oh and last week some of the students had an on campus game… Humans vs. Zombies… I had seen these students all decked out and carrying nerf guns… big ones…
so I had to catch up on the story. Seems it is an all week game with multiple maneuver plans and things they have to do but alas… this year the Humans lost… do a Hvz search at the O’colly and there are several stories about it…
I guess they need something to break the tension of college life huh?
