This coming Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (May 2-4) will see the 2014 Oklahoma Steam and Gas Engine Show at the Steam Park Grounds in Pawnee. This annual event features static displays, live demonstrations, and parades of a multitude of antique steam and gasoline powered implements and facilities including tractors, sawmills, grain mills, and machine shops. In addition sanctioned tractor pulls are held throughout the weekend.
The Stillwater Amateur Radio Club will be present at the show both in a volunteer and demonstrative capacity. Club members will take tickets and welcome guests at the gates on Friday and Saturday as well as operate a mobile club station throughout the weekend. Admission is $10 for a single day or $15 for a multi-day (Friday and Saturday) pass. Admission on Sunday is free. Children 12 and under are admitted free of charge the entire weekend.
This event is one of the annual regional highlights of Central and Northern Oklahoma and thus is certainly not one to miss!
