Yesterday I caught this swam of birds, getting a drink… must have been about 100 in that group and they were up and down to the water which caught my eye so I tried to capture a few pictures , a little fuzzy but they were a long way over on the other side of the pond…
Best I can guess form the bird book is some variety of Warbler… maybe Ground Warbler? or a Chat? Never did find a picture of one just like them?
Yesterday evening was more music at the Botanical Gardens , this time it was JAZZ and it was ok but not the Jazz that I prefer and they had some volume problems so it was not as good as the R&B group last week… next Friday is Red Dirt Rangers… Hope the park is not over loaded ?
Always some neat plants there…
I also got a capture of this cloud view during the music show..
Today was a slow day of doing , …. Not much?
Early we made it to WhataBurger for breakfast… I had a coupon for BOGO of the Taquito’s … small breakfast burrito so we did ok there.
Then it was to the Farmers Market to pick up some things
It is still fresh asparagus time so we picked up some more of the purple that we had 2 weeks ago and was really sweet.
We then checked out some plants to replace the pansies on the back porch… the short hot spell about did them in so we need something that stands the heat a lot better for the hanging baskets… Got a plant but no pictures? slipped on that one… moved the pansies to the shaded area next to the Columbines…
We also made it to a few of the yarn stored and in the process found a new-old second hand store with stained glass in the front so we stopped… the glass was ok but the store has some unusual things in there…
Now I didn’t buy it but found this old plant vase that has a light meter on it… remember those form the 70’s…
This old automotive analyzer is about the same vintage from the 70’s… not sure it would do anything on the new computerized cars… but maybe blow the computer..
As wide as tall…? and the frock is not hiding it at all…
On the way home caught this car… seems It must be a pre-vet student as one window said 1/4 vet… but the rear window tells the story…?
Also saw this relative to my jeep… I know they probably call it “butterscotch” but to me… it looked like Baby Calf Shit Yellow!… non farm kids would have no clue about that… but in my opinion it was just damn ugly?
I did a little radio… nothing exciting today… the bands area still pretty slow or down so didn’t find all those needed contacts and did a bit more cleaning out of the shop… maybe tomorrow I will put the summer top, sun screen, on the jeep? maybe not? I needed to go get the sac-crete to mix up but just wasn’t into that and by the time we got done running around it was pretty late to start such a project… ha!
