Walking down hill…
Today started with a bus tour of Edinburgh… now that is interesting in a 40 ft bus on these streets..
We went around and around and around and up and down… good it was on the bus…
Our aim was to get to the Edinburgh Castle… which is on the top of the hill…
On the bus tour we saw a round church… some preachers do not like to get into a corner?
We got close to the castle and had to walk up some… and thousands of people were doing the same… man it was crowded…
Still winding up the path… be in there soon?
Once into the main section… the middle part is the real castle, all the other stuff is supportive and additive stuff… museums for the WW 1 veterans, the Scot Dragons, etc… and housing and other stuff…
but the crowds were overwhelming… small entries, small stairs and thousands of people trying to get in… things like the small chapel that was on the ground … maybe room for 15 people and when I went in there ended dup 25 to 30 before some of us could get out…
Well it didn’t take me long to see all I could stand and we were on our way down… fortunate the mile plus back to the hotel was all down hill… although it included a ton of shops…and some people had to stop in almost all of them … looking for that perfect gift…
on our way down and looking for that gift?
Still looking…
There were a lot of oddities on this road…. just plain weird I think..
Caught this old guy coming out after collecting a few for later… he had a mobile wheel chair waiting in the next stall…
We got back to the hotel, crashed, rested some really tired feet and took a short nap… at 7 we took off again in a cab to get dinner… location of choice in this wonderland… The Edinburgh Hard Rock... we had a couple of young girls along and it was their choice to get something they would eat this time…
Oh and we got a suitcase full of stuff… we had a pretty big list… but we had the room… we hope. will get it all on the plane home tomorrow… for another very long day… since we gain that 6 hours back we lost coming this way… oh boy…
