Yep, the cat we took in from our grandson has a thing about boxes… just about any old box will do… although some are better than others…
This was her favorite… they brought it along with her…
I got some stuff from Staples the other day… left this one on the floor and guess what… looked like a great place to lay up…
This one is out in the shop and contains the collection of sewing stuff the wife has not looked at in ????? 20 years but we still have it so it looked like a candidate for the cat… she was not totally impressed as it had too much soft in it so she got back out (got in on her own)… and opted for a padded chair… I hate to say much but at this point we are improving… no wet spots in the house other than the crate she had to be in for the night… she had resigned to using the litter boxes as they are… we hope… I am working her into being outside or in the garage for the litter box… she still sheds a lot of hair but no worse than the new Dog…for which…
The new dog will eat anything and I mean anything… started out noticing he would eat dead bugs… spiders then caught him chewing on a dead frog? he check everything to make sure you didn’t leave food out, the other dog forgot to eat or spilled, the cat spilled etc.… he now knows when the cat is up on the railing to eat that she will drop things so he stands over there waiting… we don’t have little pieces of cat food on the stairs or floor anymore… and I had noticed he will pick up rocks at random and chew on them… today he found one that was a bit softer? as when I made him spit it out there were several small pieces… I can’t watch him all the time so he must have picked it back up when we came back in side and I put them in their crates while I ran to town for lunch… I was pushing the time and when he got in his crate he had to drop the rock to take the treat I give them… I though ok, let him chew on it till I get back… nope, when I got back it was gone? not in the crate… so guess he finally broke it up and ate it… that should slow down the diarrhea he has had… and we find that if he eats anything other than his dog food… he gets the runs…we know cause he got them after french fries and the chew rawhide bone he ate… got a case of it last weekend and sure glad we have tile and hard wood floors… much easier to clean up… he also has not problem of just going where ever… the white dog… hunts for just the right spot and usually away from the house… the black dog (new one) was following me to the mailbox today…middle of the drive… Ooops gotta go and right there dumped the wad in the road… has done that several times… or even on the steps if he doesn’t feel like getting off the porch… for sure gotta go pee on the steps and the cement in front of the shop door… and the pole outside… and anything else that hasn’t gotten wet in a day or two… He is nasty… dirty… big feet drag in more dirt and mud than we can mop up… slobbers on everything he plays with… so don’t pick up the ball more than twice or it will be real sticky… He sheds hair just as fast or faster than the cat..and I think I have stated before… he goes over stuff rather than around… is clumsy to the max… he tries to bound up the stairs and will consistently miss one and stumble… tries to go too fast and slides most corners, runs into doors cause he couldn’t stop,
All that said he is pretty smart and learns quick what he can and can’t do… but will try you if your not looking…
