Tuesday afternoon Jenson Harrison Ishmael arrived. It think his Dad was a pretty excited… for us, we are really lucky it is grandson #3… went from a single lonely one for 8 year to poof… now we have 3…
That was his first picture… what’s the deal with nose pictures? Oh yea, an up close selfie… ?
Finally a picture of the important one… probably one of the few that he will be calm and quiet…
Then the family… it is obvious the parents are happy but the little one… in this shot? not so much…
Grandma “I” is a bit disgusted on this end… the baby was supposed to wait another 2 weeks so she would be headed out there ASAP, but now has to wait 2 weeks for her full week off to get there… two weeks will be a short eternity for Grandma… although the other grandparents are headed out for a week so that is ok… I would guess they are just about as excited as everyone else.
So Wednesday I didn’t do a lot but worked on the back deck and got another box of baby stuff shipped out…Once I got my walk in and while eating my cereal on the back deck, I spotted this guy… he was watching for some interesting stuff on the ground…
A bit grainy but not bad for a digital camera with no telephoto and maybe 200 yards away… had to set up the tripod for it and it was still too much motion due to the wind…
just a bit later… he had something eyed but not moving… after all that and during my lunch time, I another box out… sent one Monday and another Wed… the last one was Grandma made stuff. hope for in use pictures soon…
Today was a lot cooler… and I was aching from all the up and down the ladder yesterday…and I only did the 20 feet on the right or south end of the deck. I was putting on deck oil for the upper-outside parts of the back deck… and it is about 12 to 14 feet off the ground so it is either hang over the rail or ladder up to the rail… ?
old picture, but there is a damn lot of wood decking and railing to put oil on… the siding on the house is concrete so I don’t do anything to it but the deck is treated wood that needs a bit of care…
It was cloudy and cool this morning so I was a bit slow to get into action… actually didn’t till after lunch on the finish of the wood… left 3 section (30 feet)…
After my early morning run into breakfast I ended up making a field trip… had to check where a rig had gone up the road north of us as I couldn’t see it standing… found some other things on the way…
These 4 guys were scouting out the female prospects… off to the right… decided to head for the trees when I stopped… might have been 25 all together out there… this is a bit zoomed..
Just a bit closer on the trailing guy… from above…
Found this interesting… that bumble bee didn’t move for a really long time… I saw him and went on by then turned around and came back and he was still there…? must be really good stuff?
A little further down the road got this guy… just think about a very old TV program with Gary Coleman and stick in his voice here… “What you looking at”"?”
Anyway was a nice drive out, found the rig… kind of in a valley so it wasn’t high enough to spot. I know I don’t need to chase rigs anymore but I couldn’t see where it went and had seen the equipment turning up the road north of us and it bothered me not to know… And you really get to see a lot of stuff if you watch for it… might have to make the drive again as there is a really huge Cotton wood tree up there… one I had not see before and it was so big? should have noticed it a long time ago? oh well, and stupid me… didn’t get pictures of it cause I was gawking at the geese in the field on the other side of the road and by the time I figured that out and got by the tank truck, too late and wasn’t going back… next time…
Beyond all that I got some recycle hauled off, got some more oil on this afternoon, got some bills in the mail and normal living type stuff…
