Well, we are visiting grandson #3… he is a bit young to appreciate that Grandma is here to hold and set with… but she is here
Happy now he just got fed…
Grandma doing her most favorite things… holding grandsons, reclined back, checking Facebook… she had just put down the knitting so she could hold the little one… so she must be really Happy… and she is wearing the t-shirt to prove it…
Friday I picked up a rent cargo trailer to haul some more of the kids stuff to them… the sooner and more I get that stuff out the less I have to deal with… so I hauled up some furniture and a lot of storage stuff they had “forgotten” they had stored in my barn… I think I am about to get down to only a very little bit of stuff left that belongs to them… oh wait we still have some damn big stuff that they will have to come pick up… I don’t move pianos and wall units and they say they don’t have room for it right now…
I got that trailer loaded, and we headed out Saturday morning pretty early… I was feeling really good about the towing the trailer as we sailed up I-35 and my mileage was running about 16.5 towing… way better than I figured… and on the way north we were passed (yea I was going a decent speed pulling that trailer)… by this guy…
I think he is a Cowboy fan #okstate…. I am sure I have seen that truck before somewhere… sure was shinny and polished up…
We stopped for gas in Salina and I was checking my mileage and was really pleased… I had not noticed we had a good tail wind..?
We turned west and threat tail became a angle head/cross wind and boy it made a mess of my mileage… had to fill up two more times before I got to the springs… and final mileage pulling that trailer loaded… was about 14.5 mpg… not real bad but sure not good? oh and I noticed well before I started the tow that the jeep has developed a drip oil leak somewhere… not sure where either? started that maybe 2 or 3 weeks ago… I am watching it and when I get home it goes to the shop so they can put a stop to that mess… new vehicles shouldn’t have those problems… not too happy about it either…
When we got in it was decently early so we got the trailer unloaded and I even got it returned to the rental outfit before they closed up here… felt good to get that done… After we got all that taken care of it was time for dinner and DIL wanted to go to Chili’s for dinner… so we ran down there and had dinner… it was good but I am not as big an eater as I used to be… I guess?
This was the left over for the take-home box? I did eat about half as there was also a taco with this meal… maybe I stuff too many of those chips in before the meal? hate when that happens…but now we have another meal to eat at some point?
It was nice and sunny yesterday and nice this morning but the clouds were moving and we are to get some weather around for the next couple of days… and it will get cooler… so may even have to revert to long pants and shoes? what a horrible thought?

When I was headed back this afternoon from one of my outings I made a trip around a few of the blocks here… just around from the kids house this guy has 2 old mustangs… one he must race as it had the numbers and time on the side window…
Gee it would just be nice to have one but he has two… good looking too… oh well…
That about catches things up as we set here and watch grandson #3 sleep… he does a lot of that since he is just 3 weeks old…
