Yep, I was there today for the big game… the normal for OSU vs Kansas played out one more time… unpredictable, at times cardiac patients should stay home… what ever you want to add to the fact that these two always play really , really , tough against each other , no matter what the ranking or where they should be… Today was no different… looked like a final 4 type match… well maybe not all that great but was a good game..
The first half was bad for the home team… they were down 11 at half and looked like it could get real ugly , real fast, but some how they kept plugging at it and didn’t let it get away… The second half was a bit different and it was due to some defensive changes, and a bit more aggression on the home team and the visitors, getting back down to more realistic shot percentages… But just for TV… it was a “Rush the Court” type game…
Final score OSU 67… Kansas 62…
At the outset they indicated it could or would be a sell-out… not hardly! although some of that prediction was from the fact that the Kansas fans came down in huge numbers… mostly because we don’t sell out and there are always seats (good seats) and they figured it would be another notch on their march to a conference championship and another final 4 or better…
look close , there are a lot of empty seats , way more on up… but the number of “BLUE” seats is amazing here… had to be about as many Kansas fans as we got students to rush the court and they were not filled up in the student sections…
I still expect they are the conference champion… again for the ??? (I don’t have enough fingers) time..
you see… ? only 2 years on the past 17 years has Kansas not at least shared either regular season or tournament titles… oh well…
Anyway, it was a good game, glad I went, enjoyed it a lot more than I did the last home game…
