Well, after yesterday being a Piddling day… today was the following poop-off day. Yep, pooped off the whole day. Not sure what I did yesterday that caused it but my protruding disc decided to be very painful today… pushing on something so I didn’t feel like tackling any of those other jobs I have on my list. Besides it was supposed to rain? Supposed to was the key word. I guess it may have rained a little early in the day (like about 5am) but nothing during the day till late tonight it was misting again. At about 5:15 or maybe 5:30 (heck I was asleep) the power went off. It stayed off with just one decent flicker at about 6:30 am till maybe 7:30AM it finally did come back on. That was enough reason for me to just languish around a big chunk of the morning… but once I got out I figured it would be a good day to take the dog to the Vet. Time for the yearly checkup on heartworm and shots, and other things to check out… so called and they said we have a spot at 10:30 how quick can you get here? Hey it was 10:10 by then… but I pulled out the dogs car harness and she promptly went and laid real low… she hates car rides and going… I got the harness on and put her in the jeep and off we went… We were done at the Vets by 11 am and home by 11:20. About $195 dollars more in debt… oh well.
At that point we had a bit more of that green chili from yesterday, for lunch and then I was off to take some “test” items back to Lowes. I had picked up some 90deg elbows for the bury line
Would have gone on before the bicycle inner tube… but they didn’t fit as they were 1.5 (I was guessing) I had also got some other parts that might have worked but they were all the wrong “guess” size too… Anyway, Lowes didn’t have the size I needed so after getting the parts back I went to Lock Supply and checked and they ahd the sizes I needed there so I got the proper elbows and a T-box for the line (and they were cheaper than Lowes anyway. I forget to go check Lock when I am looking for parts. Once back home I made sure the new parts were the right size and they are so now I am ready to get that line trenched in. I don’t intend to put if any deeper than to just cover it up a bit as I may want to pull the whole thing up at some point… I just want it deep enough to mow over with out hitting it. that should also keep it dry… here… ha!
I then spent several hours checking for some Hardline ends or figuring out how to make some for that 100ft of T10 hardline that came in the bury pipe. Would be nice if I could use it. I found some ideas that will be tried later on.
I kept waiting for the rain but it didn’t come and I didn’t get the few little things done that I could have done if I wasn’t looking for rain… you know I hate to get a bunch of tools out and get all ready just to pick it all back up cause I am getting wet and you know that I am so sweet that I will melt if I get rained on… besides I already have enough rusty tools…
Beyond that I did a little reading, testing, some radio, cause the bands were coming back after yesterdays LOW… was hearing some stuff on 15 meters for a change and did work a few new prefixes/grids… nothing exciting.
Since I had leftover for lunch I ran out to get a quick supper and when I got home with that I find Grandma on Skype with Grandson#3… actually with Son and Grandson but she was having to watch him in a new jumper toy… he seemed to be real happy with it and I could her him making noises… so he must have been talking, just that we couldn’t understand what he said about it all…
So it was a poop-off day. The rain that was coming Pooped –off… the electricity went off early so I got in a Poof-off mood, then with anticipating that we might yet get rain, I carried out my poop-off mood for the rest of the day… But just wait till tomorrow…
