What a day… off early to the hospital so they can stick me… and suck blood… like I said, Doctors always want a lot of samples… but I am surprised that the the “GUY” that got my blood this morning did a good job as it was one stick, and bump and done… and no after bleed or big black an blue like I usually get… That will be fore Doctor visits later… ha. I then got home, had a short breakfast and got to work on some planters and planting some pepper seeds… should have started them a month ago or more but forgot I had the seeds… last year we bought some “Cajun bell peppers” and they were really good… not overly hot, although don’t mess with the seeds and touch anything as it will burn like fire… but they were a little sweet like bells also… and made some really great chicken wraps for the grill… although it may have been the bacon?
I also got some of the downstairs screen pulled out for sun shade as the sun starts to move north and get hot… was in the 80’s here today so the kicked my memory that I needed to undo the pulled up screens and let some down…
Went to lunch in town a the “We Have the Meats” place… nothing exciting but lunch still the same, but sometimes you see some of the most interesting people..
I then headed home to get some more of the little yard things done. I had to capture and finish another sparrow that seemed to have pushed the blue birds out…In that process I came across something I had not seen in my bluebird houses before… I had not seen the birds in this house but this time the nest was way different than sparrow or blue bird…..
I did watch for quit awhile and saw the little birds working on it… Black-cap chickadees… I had to go look as I had not seem them take a blue bird house before but the look-up said they would, although they usually build in dug out rotten wood spots… I then worked some more on the drip sprinklers to get the pepper pots watered… I like automatic and that is what this is… daily watering on a timer… does pretty well here…
At 3:30 I had to head back in for another Doctor appointment. Time for my yearly skin cancer check… since my Dad had a lot of it and several of my relatives have had it… I get checked every year… well this year… I had a couple of places I wanted checked… and well it was a “freeze this one” and then a stick and burn (deaden the other side) and scrape off for biopsy. oh boy…so today I was stuck, , froze, stuck, burn, and scrapped … Just so much fun… The rest of my spots are …… “AGE” spots… all over my arms, and some on face… some scaly, some not… but so far no big spots to worry about other than the biopsy piece and it was pretty small… so far.
This evening it was similar stuff… the storms in the southern part of the state had much of the lower bands messed up so not much radio tonight… I did take time to call an old friend that crossed 65 today…, and my brother… since he is crossing 60 today I asked if he had his cane yet… not sure he thought that was funny… So that was my day… nothing exciting, nothing unusual… I like it that way..
I did find out why some times my wife doesn’t wake me up..
