Tuesday we had to take the car in for a repair… They were to put in the “PRE-PAID” part but it till longer than they thought so it was not done till yesterday… I also had to get the Jeep in for a repair today as it quit heating and just noticed last week… strange how cool weather makes us notice the change. I got up way too early for a retired guy, made it to the repair place and they told me they could get the part in by noon and would have it fixed right after so I just hung around… What is really strange is that the part…. is the Heat/cold modulator and that was the same part that had to be replaced in the car this week? how can it be that both cars have the same part die with in a few days of each other? I have not real reason to believe that it was related to the recent lightening strike that I am still working to get equipment replaced from… but it sure raises questions about could it have been an related cause? Coincidence? maybe… strange? for sure.
I sat patiently in the waiting room at the dealership and just about 1:30 the Forman came and said I would be done in about 5 minutes… I was a bit surprised but gathered my stuff and went out and as I get there the shop Forman said that it was not done, they had found another problem and that it would require a part order and I could drive the vehicle home and schedule a return trip for the further repair… all this should not happen on a 2 year old vehicle… but glad it is under warranty. I maybe should consider an extended warranty before the 3 years run out?
