Ok, I finished up one more airplane… well it is sort of finished, still thinking about a few small additions to it but 90% done.
Along with that we have been busy the past week… Sunday along with the work on the plane it was nice out so I fired up the grill and we had Pork Chops..
and some fresh asparagus we found at the local Food Pyramid… that was really good…
Monday we went did some stuff, and I did the little finish on the plane and then went to the Women’s final BB game where they honored the seniors… and of course they faced them the wrong way for me to get a real picture so I had to get a bounce off the big screen.
At the end of the game Sherrie got a small hug from the soon to be named Big12 Player of the year!…
Tuesday we got the dogs “sheared”… we do not groom them, we just get the hair sheared back so they don’t shed so much and the little one can see… ha! I should get some better pictures of here in full coat but suffice to say her face is more like an old English sheep dog at that point or maybe if I teach here to stand on her hind legs she could pass for an EWOK?
previous full coat..
Shaved down…
Wednesday we went to OKC for a medical appointment… Sherrie had a yearly check with the breathing specialists… and of course we had lunch in the city and the place picked was the Ted’s in Edmond… we had not been there before but had done the Teds on May Ave many times… the north Ted’s is just as good…
We both got the Chimichanga’s, I got shredded beef and she got chicken and we had plenty for left overs later…
Thursday we had a 9 am appointment with the vet for yearly check ups…now that they were shaved, the dogs of course..but when I let them out again at 8 so they could be ready for the ride to the vet , Morgan found a problem… either he decided to eat a skunks butt or kiss it? not sure which but before I knew it he was in the house and oh boy did it make a mess of our place…we had little choice so we took both dogs to the vet anyway and that was rotten in the jeep…… and had their yearly check up… all fine there and they got shots a recipe for the skunk smell and samples, etc.… we got them home and I went back to Braums to get some Breakfast Burritos while Sherrie mixed up the anti-skunk wash… while I was out I saw this in the parking lot…
Cool old Ford…
Sherrie had started the scrub of Morgan and locked him in his crate and we left the doors of the house wide open on all sides… that didn’t help much but some, although after an hour or so, you loose the sense of smell… anyway then it got worse… Bentley… above.. had a horrible allergic reaction to the parvo shot and her face swelled up, her eyes turned red( hey maybe it was the skunk smell of Morgan?) and then… she threw up… back to vet for anti-allergy shot and then she got several pills over the next few hours and it was still some swollen today and still a little stomach problems but she did fell a lot better as she was active today. The skunk smell… we didn’t notice it but if you go outside for a couple of hours and come back… yep it is still here… maybe some more open doors for another day will help?
Tonight we went to the last Men’s BB game to see off the seniors there. the loss of 3 to 5 starters from the team due to injury and sickness the past few months didn’t help and again they got clobbered… they did put up a gallant effort for 3/4 of the game but it wore them down and again they lost…we came on home and I went through the pictures… just another week… oh one small thing and I tried to get pictures but that failed… we went early to have dinner at Curly’s before the late game and I was sure glad we went there… it had been cleared of all the ghosts as the Ghost Buster Family was there… yep a Mom, Dad, and 3 kids all dressed up in green jump suits with their names and the Ghostbuster emblem on them… didn’t see the GB mobile in the lot but am sure it was around somewhere…
I know really bad fuzzy shots but you get the idea they were dressed for the job… so that was the week… not sure what will be the plans later?
