Well, GS#3 is here for a short visit then we all go up to see GS#1 and GS#2. But today Ryan needed to go see one of his most favorite teachers … from high school no less. I don’t think I had any favorites in HS? That meant a road trip so we saw some things and did some things today… but first….. last night when I was coming back in from the shop/HamShack/Toyroom… I saw this on the pavement…
It was hard to get a perspective but my big foot in the picture might be enough? It was a worm that came up for air. We got a little over an inch of rain yesterday and I suspect that the ground was a bit water logged and several of these were up stretching out and draining some excess water… I think this might have been the biggest worm I have seen… ever… it was big or bigger around than a pencil and all of 10 to 11 inches long… at first I thought it was a small snake but no head and on closer look it was a damn big earth worm… I need several million more in my yard to help out…
oh and before I forget, I was in Walmart last evening to get a few small things and came on this in the MEN”S clothing?
I am not sure if it goes with those shorts or was being tried on by someone wanting some of those shorts but I , for one, will not be buying any of those shorts to wear… I don’t even like plaid… thinking on it a bit, sure hope who ever was going by didn’t get caught on the rack sticking out and got that yanked off? might have been just embarrassing enough to not go back and get it?
It is spring here and I think it is way early but the trees and flowers do not agree…
Yea, Oklahoma and RedBud season… no wonder I have been snoring louder… allergies will be in full bloom for several months now.
and the dogwood as well…
ok on to the trip… we had to make a stop in OKC and we did leave a bit early so we had a late breakfast but GS#3 was happy no matter what the occasion..
He has moved on to lots of giggles, smiles and knows and repeats the word NO! a lot…
We also saw the wall of faces… interesting and he was really taking it in..
Now for “They can’t do that” or should they? everything we eat with , for safety , is packages in paper or plastic so the multitude of fingers (that haven’t been washed properly) don’t touch what goes in our mouth… but notice the “stir straws” for coffee? I guess that coffee is bad enough to kill all the germs?
This fellow was in the restaurant we stopped for lunch in… I noticed his underwear and held way back when I needed a refill of tea and he was at the coke machine… but when he went outside and tried to put his billfold or ? in his back pocket this happened… hell his pocket now is so far he can’t reach it and he is now walking real funny… if you wear them around your knees you likely will not be able to run when you need to?
Next up is this paper tag… date…. 12/29/15 and today is 3/14/16? I thought they were only good for 30 days? there used to be a pretty stiff penalty for not getting it properly tagged in the 30 days but hey… maybe they don’t intend to keep it much longer?
So it was a really nice day… long drive… but worth the trip and getting out and enjoying was really good…
