Yesterday the roads were passable so I went out for some burgers for lunch and got some chicken nuggets for GS#3. He seemed to like them.
The dogs know he has a tendency to drop or throw stuff off he doesn’t like so they all gather around and wait…
Then last night we had hotdogs with chili and some mac-R-cheese… again he ate pretty good.
of course he got a lot on the outside as well as on the inside… Funny he wanted it dumped on his tray, then he would poke it into that small cup and try to eat out of that and finally pick it out and eat it… what a mess..
Yep, the snow has melted enough to get around fine. We heard that it only was bad about 10 miles south of us and mostly north… We had promised to do some other GS setting this weekend back in Denver so we again packed things up and headed north. The forecast is for 12 more inches of snow tonight and tomorrow… so figure we better hit the road before it gets started… but it started doing small “snow showers” about noon… off and on so we headed out after lunch.
Clouds gathering around the mountains and showers passing through with small amounts of snow… but the further north we went the more snow we found and lots of cars in the ditch from the last snow as well as several accidents today? and the road was clear but packed…
The traffic went great for a bit then is was inch along like this …
Just thought this was a cool shot of the big barn… with mountains in background…
When I got to GS#1 and 2’s house I found the back deck covered with about a foot of snow… so figured it would be good exercise to shovel it off… and that deck is maybe 20 x 30 ft.… damn big deck but I got it all moved off..
just about to finish up…
Then I was wore out.. They are still in the process of getting settled in but that also means a lot of fixing and changing going on… so not much is happening with getting all the boxes put away until they get the other stuff fixed, like changing out carpet, fixing stair railings, pulling out very poor sets of shelves and cabinets from the garage and starting over, etc.… I will be glad to go home as it is a constant motion of work here. Someday they will get it leveled out and can enjoy it…
When we got here the weather had changed and they figure that it will only snow a few inches here but still have 8 to over 12 from Colorado Spring south and then East so glad we moved further north. I am a bit tired of the snow.
