Even though it is warming up and the snow is receding I am not accomplishing much. We got here, spent Monday trying to figure out what we needed to do. Mostly we are responsible to get GS#1 to school and home. Strange here they don’t start school till 9am and are done by 3 pm.. Seems I remember that as being a half day or less. Yep I am one of those kids that had to get on a bus at about 7:30 so we could be at school about 8:30 – we had a long route. Then we seldom go home before 4:30pm. Then there were chores to do… they sure have it easy today. GS#1 is good about getting up early… he almost always is up by 7am… but that means there is a 2 hour delay till he needs to be at school. He usually also has his little Bro up (GS#2) at the same time. After GS#1 is off to school we have to deal with GS#2 and that means some tickle time, chase time, and other things.
He does seem to have a problem with his “morning hair”.
He also had a small problem (I think MawMaw wasn’t watching close enough) with getting his pants on… makes it hard to walk. He thought it was funny.
Monday evening we had to take GS#1 to Roller Hockey practice. Seems a big place for ice and snow doesn’t do ice hockey practice in the summer. In fact there is limited places and times they can even get on the ice. It was better in Dallas as they had a lot of summer leagues , nice to be in on the ice when it is so hot outside. Anyway the roller hockey will be similar and a good summer practice. We didn’t know till the practice if there would be more practices this week or a game but PaPa lucked out and no more practice and the first game is Sunday? so the parents will be home to take over by then and PaPa can go back to spectator and just tag along , not be responsible for timing and getting all the stuff and GS#1 there.
This is how it looked Tuesday morning… clearing,, building some low clouds as things heat up and melt off. It is kind of a pretty time when it does this.
This morning as I get back to the neighborhood I spot all those flowers that had been covered in snow… Actually there are a lot of flowers all over that were covered in several feet of snow. and the blue grass lawns are really green underneath all that too…
Going to get GS#1 we came across this Moose hiding in that portable garage… ?
Beyond all that, not getting anything done… to and from and to and from. kind of like Sunday’s post about “chasing our tails”…
Good think for young people but not so good for “upper middle age” ha!
Something I just got in the mail bag about RVing and I am not sure I can go to this new Passport member RVpark?
