Well we had a meeting about noon then decided to head off into the wild… since we had tried a month ago to make it to a fine little place on Elk Creek and got lost , we figured this time we could actually find it… and we did… made it to The BuckSnort Saloon for a late lunch.
Nice little place on a narrow road up in the hills… well decorated with dollar bills and names on those bills from those that conquered the trail.. ha!

We had our lunch. The menu is not big… burgers, a steak and smothered burritos… I got the burrito cause I like green chili…
We turned around and headed back but took one small side road on the way back… I had visited this place a really long time ago…
It is till there and I am sure it is much bigger than it was back then as I don’t remember it being so big… but it runs a long way down along the road..
and the train still runs…

It is a neat little park with lots of small buildings to look at… complete cities here…
That pretty much ended our trip, got back and set out in the cool for awhile … then got a call that our kids (who went to Steamboat) were stuck up on a pass road. Seems the junk mobile quit them? got a bad connection or ? I told Sherrie that they need to know..
Do not call us until you get out and all is ok…and everyone can laugh about your miss-adventures.. We can’t fix your problems from here.
