Well, I don’t write much anymore due to the number of things we have been involved in lately. Just damn busy and lack of interest I guess. So a few things that have happened since last.
We gathered up and all the Grandsons went to Bass Pro shops here to get a picture with Santa… it worked out ok…
It is and hard to get all three in one spot, and then get all of them to smile… sort of…
It is even harder for PawPaw to get the individual pictures… none of the ones I attempted for the other two turned out. I don’t know how the Santa can do this hour after hour… ?
We had Christmas in the new house here… sparse as it was… but the kids had a great time..
They got those big trucks out and drove them all over
Then they played in the boxes…
We then all went to Oklahoma to have Christmas (late) with Great Grandma and Great Grandpa.
When all that was done and the New-year was in swing we headed back to the Colorado House with a load of stuff. Yes we are moving real slow, but hey… that is ok we get what we need and then maybe will sell off a bunch of what we don’t… wishful thinking on my part.
Thanks to SIL for fixing supper for us and delivering to the new house when we all got back. (He was working in and didn’t make the trip). On the way back on New Years Day we stopped to take in an old time favorite of those around Salina… The Cozy in has been in the same building since 1922 and serving the same burgers all that time… actually they were serving ‘sliders” way before we all knew the difference in the big burgers and the small ones had a name… ha!
You can get the idea from the menu on the outside..
At $1.14 each you can tell they are probably 1/8 lb. on a sweet roll… so we each had a couple to start and a couple more … but lot of people stopping to get bags to go…
Everyone was happy but the guy in the middle… Ryan didn’t really like his picture taken as he palmed down a burger with out too much of a bite… If you go don’t plan on eating in… We got real lucky and there were 6 stoles and 6 of us and the stoles were empty when we walked in so we got to eat that the bar…
This morning I got a picture of a new bird to me… although I am sure I have seen them many times I just never realized it… but he sat on the feeder for a really long time. wasn’t eating a lot but liked the perch… The Spotted Towhee. very colorful bird. Oh and that is outside the office window… when I raise the blinds… ha!
So that is where we are now… nothing of great importance but lots of family time spread out over the few weeks.
