Well this morning I got a picture of the finished sand box. From the upper deck. I figured that that view would be good?
Not too bad for a very poor carpenter and makeshift builder. but looking down it was apparent… We need more sand!… Actually that was what was left in the tarp we had pulled from a previous sand box and the rest is in a big rolling box but still I think we will need twice as much sand as what we originally had?
Now I have to go build another just like it at GS#2’s house.
That is not all that is happening. I got permission from the HOA to install a back gate with crossing/access to my back yard (just in case) and to add the stairs to our deck. They started the access gate and ditch crossing today…
Got this much done before we got a little shower through and then it was about 5pm anyway. They say they will rent a tamping machine to make it good and packed and will run it beyond the fence tomorrow about 10 ft. as well as start building the gate in the fence.
As for the small showers we got several today but nothing that got anything very wet… I do like the way you can see the clouds building for all this out here..
Oh and as I was filtering through some of the past weeks pictures I found some that I had not posted that would be nice to see (maybe)..
This was a view after I left my sisters new house in Rosita… the mountains across are some rugged peaks at times…
Sunday we made a trip over toward Palmer Lake then up the back road to Larkspur… saw movement and stopped to picture these hikers on a big rock…
Rolling along on Highway 105 there is this old barn that still is in real good shape…
A political machine… don’t stand behind it as it will spread as much manure as most politicians… !
The bug guard? hard to see so may have to go try to get a better shot?
and last, as I was coming back from the fence project… saw some of my wild flowers..
