Ain’t buying tires for one of those…

Recently on the I-25 corridor I spotted this truck headed south… now I had seen such things some time ago in Michigan and in Canada.  Required for heavy trucks on frost prone ground as they really tear up the roads when the frost is coming out… But this far south?

Yep, count umm… 4 rows on the tractor, 6 on the trailer,  Now he wasn’t loaded up as there were at least 3 pulled up… and he was moving on at 75+… must have been all that good traction?

Oh and when I came to post this I found a bunch more that I have neglected to get in here as I have been real busy on the radio… Living in an HOA that is extremely ANUL… I had spent a lot of time this summer and this fall trying to get some wire antennas up that are as near invisible as possible… I got 2  put up and have been exercising my radio habit to extreme… having the shack in the office, in the house, upstairs , makes it way too easy to get to.

We had made the trip back to OK for Thanks Giving and on the way back we stopped by the “Wind Farm”.  Sherrie has one place where they are putting up to of those big windmills.  I had gotten pictures of the stuff delivered a few months ago but now they are standing and ready but need testing then they will put them on line, anyway this time got  a picture of the base of one… those are not beer bottles… they are covers on the huge bolts holding this ting to the concrete “bunker” they are mounted on…

This was the sunset as we got closer to the Colorado home… still a long way out but was a neat sunset, hard to get pictures and drive but grabbed a few.

This was taken way back last month as we left Monument and headed into Colorado Springs… We live way up on the ridge.  Heck the springs is higher than Denver at around 6000 to 6500 ft. and we live another 1000 above that…

The fog and cloud bank was moving back up from the SE plains and had it pretty much socked in down in the springs…

Now saying we live at 7500 ft. is not new… way back when we first moved out here we lived in Alamosa near the Rio Grande River and that was 7500 ft. there… but from there is was all downhill till we moved back… ha!

I guess I should work in a Christmas letter but haven’t gotten up to the words yet… maybe this week or next I will get something put together… ? maybe?
