It has been about two weeks since I caught these. Made a trip to Grandson #2’s birthday and then back again to capture him on a Hockey team. He is 6… First up the Birthday party. A great idea to give the kids kites and get them to fly them…
I am sure this one was a bit younger than all the boys there but… she flew that kite for almost and hour… and didn’t want to stop…
a guy near the park came over with this fancy kite so as not to miss all the fun…
But when they yelled time for cake… all but the girl put the kites down…
I was slow getting to the table as the candles were out…
It was a bit cool as the sun went down and Grandma needed a coat…
Grandson #3 getting into the cake as well…
Like I said, late getting a picture of the cake… them boys were not waiting on me to get back from the car.
Ok, the next day we went back up to see him in a hockey game… at 6, you could say his attention wanders or maybe his desire is a bit different?
Here I got a picture that he actually looks like a serious hockey player….
Then the picture of where he likes to stay… a long way off from the action – yes he is way to the right and I had to zoom out to get him in the picture…and the action is way to the left…
On the way home I was a bit late getting off the crazy interstate and finding a “safer” spot to grab a few sunset pictures..
At that same point – at the gate to that ranch… they had a few left over pieces of equipment… when I was growing up we had one of these… actually had been retro-fitted to be pulled by the tractor as opposed to horses. Must have been about 1956 or 57? not sure but near that… Dad and Grandpa Peterman decided one Sunday to mow the roadside…. and of course back then it didn’t have a seat belt… Some where along the road, and I think Dad was driving the tractor and Grandpa operating the mower, it hit a rock or a hole or? and they came back to the house telling how Grandpa got bucked off… would have been fun to see as they were really talking it up…
It appeared this one had the cycle bar taken off, and probably had not been converted to a tractor pull and they horse hook up had rotted off.
That catches up the pictures I had saved back that needed to be posted… and life moves on.
