The lockup and things that we see

Ok, it has been busy but boring here.  The Lock-in continues and we try our best to not break those rules… or directions.

I have worked on multiple software updates for radios and hotspots and programming.  repeater changes, updates to logging programs, etc.  It is obvious that with nearly everyone told to stay home the writers are getting some things updated that have been needed for awhile… I have also been cooking some specials… I did a meatloaf week before last and that turned out pretty damn good… we ate it all before I remembered to get pictures… Here is an odd change.  with the run on the stores and not wanting to just dry out some bread for crumbs… I used chicharrones… We had a bag of BarBQue ones that just weren’t my favorite so I took the bottom of the bag, crushed up a cup of them and put that in the meatloaf.  Not sure if that was it or we just hadn’t had it in such a long time that no matter what it was going to be good..?

Monday it was so nice out that I fired up the Treager grill and we had some Tbones…  so we are not starving and that is why I have to work a lot more.

I do have some pictures from the March beginning of the “RUN” for everything and other things I have seen…

We all experienced the “empty shelves”… but look what was not emptied out here….? They forgot the dip in their rush to get the chips..

Pasta, macNCheese, etc on the left and canned goods on the right…

I am sure most of you that shop Walmart have now experienced this… I got there last Tuesday as the local store had just put these up… I wasn’t number one in line but maybe 4th in the line.  Actually I was trying to get in for the “senior” special hours and avoid the big crowds and hoping that some of the missing stuff over the past weeks had been restocked.  I did get some of my stuff and one of Sherries prescriptions, but … the TP isle was still bare… not that we are reverting to leaves and scooting across the grass lawn… but I was looking to keep two weeks balanced on the shelf.

Control lines… No wild rush in the door now and reminders of distance…

Now just because it is “Stay at home” time… the Governor out here made it very clear we could get out and exercise… and we are seeing a lot more activity now than in past times.  Last year I could make this walk and see maybe 2 other people out walking, now I see dozens on this route in various places.  This is one of the hills I generally walk down with a view… When I take that route is is about 3.6 miles out and back and about 4 or 500 ft of elevation up and down, about twice on that walk… good exercise and with the current situation I have been hitting that walk about 2 times a week and then mix in a shorter 2.5 mile route the other direction.

You can see we still have a good quantity of snow in the shadows…

Now this is another of those…huh?  I have seen all kinds of racing but Moose? I really need to find out where they attempt this…

That is the update for now.  I really do need to get out and take more pictures… and I will work on that…

Life in the not so fast lane for now…
