The update list

Well, again I don’t have much to say here or don’t have the “set-aside” time to keep my blog current.  I do things and then it hits me that I should have taken a picture or should have posted something.    I know that last post was way back in September and boy we have been busy since.

I am not sure but at the last post I think we knew but not for sure but Sherrie had another cancer.  With that coming up we took the opportunity to be back in Stillwater the last week of Sept to visit with her Dad.  There were more tests, scans, meetings with surgeons and stuff to take care of.   The cancer showed in a scan that she had a tumor in her lung and so October 9th She had that lobe of her lung removed.

Prep for surgery – early – we had to be there 6 am surgery started at 7:30 and I was called in to talk to Dr. at 10:30.  Then we waited and waited in recovery for a room due to the covid the rooms were full and the surgery had to be scheduled around when they knew they would have rooms, which were limited as well.   On my trip back to the Hospital I caught this trucker with a big load.

Her recovery was pretty quick, She doesn’t like hospitals.  She is doing well other than she is required to have Oxygen due to our altitude here, that said we did get back to Stillwater for the last week of Sept and catch a football game, visit friends and get a little done there.

We again made the trip back to Oklahoma the last week of October for Homecoming but even though we were there she opted to reduce her exposure to just the game.  We did do some driver by of the Homecoming decorations, of course I didn’t get pictures or can’t find them.

Then the first of Nov we had a birthday to attend for GS#2.

Might be good BBQ? not sure.

Then before Thanksgiving my niece from Alaska was coming through on there way to Texas. They had brought the camp trailer down from AK in September and left it in Washington.  Then picked it up before T-day and were on there way to Amarillo for a few days then on to my Brothers “ranch” to leave it there.

They stopped on the south end of Colo Springs so we could all visit for a hour or so then we left so they could get on their way.

We had a small T-Day here – only 3 of use as we didn’t think we needed to be out mingling too much and most of the family we know had colds, viruses, etc.… not covid, but better we limit exposure right now.

Then a few days ago we had front yard guests.

I think it is that time of year..ha!  The time of my camera is off a few hours (slow) I noticed.

Now we are not doing a lot, again.  Setting up Doctors for more re-checks and other issues.  I am going through “Bone cracker” visits weekly to hopefully reduce nerve pinch/pains.  Getting older is not for the weak.

So that brings thing up to date.
